Alfredo, as a good reporter who knows that a voice is always little, spoke to the acolytes of the criminal, with whom they venerated him in the streets, with whom they suffered him. Some of those people, like Judge Mariela Casado, suffered it to the point of wanting to erase part of their lives. NELSON RIVERA In the memory of Marianne Kohn Beker I Between 1921 and 1922 the Bolsheviks learned that hunger is a lethal weapon. Then the aftermath of the war was added to expropriations and collectivization. Production came to the ground. In scenes of indignation, armed bodies of the Communists sought the grain produced in Ukraine, “the barn of Europe”. The peasants who tried to keep some of what they had produced were beaten. The requisites were executed without compassion. Those who resisted, shot them and burned the house. Diseases spread through fields, towns and cities. People were starving. The bodies were piled up. People in the last state of extenuation were forced to dig ditches: there they threw the exangüe bodies of those who died. A scene is enough: a witness saw a woman who had died sitting at the foot of a tree. In his lap, a baby still alive, tried to suck from his chest. At least three million people died in less than 30 months. I repeat: more than three million in 30 months. 1933 is the year that marks the beginning of a tragic time for life and civilization: Hitler ascends to power in Germany and Stalin begins the process aimed at consolidating his personal dictatorship. Despite their differences, one and the other believed that the State should, at any cost, have control over land and agriculture. The 1928 Five-Year Plan promoted by Stalin had its center in collectivization. Hitler's vision was to snatch the lands of Poland and the Soviet Union, kill or enslave the peasants. Stalin conceived it as a war for grain. Hitler as a right of a superior race. They both had Ukraine as an expensive target.
