NDUSTRY TRACEBACK GROUP Yesterday the FCC announced a new "K4" notice authorizing U.S.-based voice service providers that they may block voice calls or cease to accept traffic from a provider, DigitalIPVoice, if the provider fails to mitigate the identified traffic described in an accompanying cease-and-desist letter. The accompanying letter ordered DigitalIPVoice to stop serving as a gateway provider for an apparently illegal robocall campaign originating from overseas and pertaining to student loan assistance programs.
